The Hotel Duo is a 4 star hotel located in the Prague 9 district, about 6km from the city centre. The hotel is quite large with 642 rooms, a restaurant, a leisure centre and a beauty salon. And although you're not exactly in the heart of the action, the hotel operates a regular free shuttle service to the nearest metro station, which is 1km from the hotel, and from here you can hop on the metro as far as the city centre.

Upon reaching this hotel, the first thing you'll notice is its very colourful exterior with lots of different painted murals on the walls. It's very unusual but at the same time quite eye-catching and intriguing. The hotel has in fact two wings, a ten storey grey glass wing and a nine storey pink concrete wing.

The interior of the hotel is spacious and welcoming with lots of quirky ornaments. Much of the hotel has been renovated and redocated recently. Have a look at the fantastic artwork on the walls in the public areas; it's original artwork by traditional Czech artists!

If you pass the reception you'll come to a winter garden, which is basically a conservatory with red leather couches. Here you'll find an internet station with six computers. At the other end of the winter garden is a surprising feature of an Avery containing half a dozen parrots that chirp constantly! There's also an aquarium with miniature turtles.

To sum up, it's a pretty luxurious effort all in all, and it's very well maintained and looked after. They have catered for everything in this self contained super hotel, so you'll probably find yourself spending more time at the hotel than normal but that's definitely a sign of a top quality establishment! If you want it all laid on then this should be your choice.
