The Old Town Bridge Tower is ranked among the most beautiful Gothic towers in Europe and is definitely one of Prague’s most famous landmarks. Peter Parler built the 64m high tower between 1370 and 1391.
Situated at the old end of the famous Charles Bridge, it provides access from Charles Bridge and the Old Town. The designs on both the east and west façade are richly decorated with sculptures.
The coat of arms, which can be seen high above the arch, shows all the lands that were part of the Bohemian Kingdom. Above the coat of arms, three sculptures can be found on the tower - St Vitus, King Charles and Wenceslas IV. Near the top of the tower are two statues of Saint Sigismund and Saint Vojtech.
Why not climb the Old Bridge Tower for a stunning view of Prague Castle and the Vltava River. From the opposite side you have great views of the Old Town
